Wolfsburg (dpa) – The transfers of football world champion Julian Draxler from Schalke 04 to VfL Wolfsburg is nearing completion. Both Bundesliga clubs agreed by dpa-information on a transfer.

Still had not signed the contract at VfL, it said. As the “image” reported on its website, Schalke is to receive 35 million euros to release the 21-year-olds. Draxler is intended to replace in Wolfsburg Kevin De Bruyne, who joined for 75 million euros to Manchester City.

The Schalke-grown had in Gelsenkirchen still a valid contract until 2018. Last Draxler had been brought with Juventus in connection especially. Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt had an offer from the Italians but rejected as too low. On weekends, the Wolfsburg had entered the poker game for the midfielder. On Sunday Heldt had an agreement with Wolfsburg nor denied. The club from Gelsenkirchen was itself still looking for a replacement. Who has since found obviously.
