The Fifa is reformed, at least on paper. With 179 to 22 votes, just under 90 percent, the delegates approved the reform proposal of the Executive Committee. This was expected, everything else would have been saudoof. The Fifa therefore subscribes to the separation of powers, a women’s quota, term limits. And the existing 24-member Executive Committee, the Chamber of Horrors of Fifa is to a supervisory board with 36 members – and thus disempowered. On the part of Fifa, the thing is sold correspondingly large. The secretary general Markus Kattner, a Bayreuth, says: “This is a historic moment.”
