1860 München: Bureau enters closed back – SPIEGEL ONLINE

The Bureau of the football second division 1860 München and the club representatives on the advisory board have resigned closed. That gave President Gerhard Mayrhofer on Friday night announced.

The reason the club is called the failed negotiations with Investor Hasan Ismaik. In the afternoon, the “lions” -Verantwortlichen had planned Sunday meeting yet canceled at short notice because of the intense discussions.

“We very much regret that, in spite of numerous discussions in recent days have been unable to reach agreement on how the TSV 1860 München can get back on track,” said Mayrhofer. You have until recently tried to “come at a high personal commitment of all those involved and enormous pressure of expectation of the public to a convincing solution for the purposes of the association and the Lions fans”.

We managed not. The Munich-based club, who had arrived in the relegation against Holstein Kiel prevent relegation to the third league, now stands just before the start of training its professionals without a guide.

The end came abruptly. Hours before the resignation announcement which now assigned club management had stressed that it currently can not estimate how long the negotiations with the Jordanian Investors Ismaik would still take – talking was apparently also the exit. Linked to this were speculations about a subsequent entry of master coach Felix Magath

The 38-year-old Ismaik acquired (of which 49 per cent voting rights) four years ago, 60 percent of the “lions” shares. Some 50 million euros should the investor have been plugged into the traditional club, goal during his first was the rapid return to the Bundesliga.
