Hamburg – The Formula 1 team Toro Rosso has the Dutch teenager Max Verstappen committed as regular drivers for the upcoming season. The son of former Grand Prix driver Jos Verstappen will be on his debut for the sister team of Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull team with more then 17 years the youngest Formula 1 driver in history.
Verstappen, karting world champion last year, is one of the most talented young drivers. 2015 he will form a duo with only 20 years old Russians Daniil Kwjat. Jean-Eric Vergne of France loses his place in the team, however.
It was not until this year goes Verstappen in the European Formula 3 Championship and is there with eight wins currently second overall.
the past season had a contract with the junior team of Red Bull Verstappen. “I was at Red Bull the best feeling and am very happy that I now allowed to drive in Formula 1,” he said. Verstappen, will replace the Spaniard Jaime Alguersuari, who was 19 years old on his debut in 2009 as the youngest Formula 1 driver.
