Ingolstadt (AP) – After the bitter cup exit at the fourth division club Kickers Offenbach President Peter Jackwerth warns of a downward spiral in his FC Ingolstadt .
“We must be careful that we do not again fall into a fairway as last year,” Jack Werth told the “Donau Kurier” and demanded to look at the next few weeks: “We need to bark now, so everyone wakes up. “
Before almost a year the Upper Bavaria were started very badly in the second Bundesliga and had long ranked in the relegation zone. In the first-round cup match in Offenbach (2: 4 on penalties), the team have now presented similar ill on Monday evening despite a long outnumbered commented Jackwerth. “That was nothing. With Nice games you win nothing. According to the sending off we would fizzle out the enemy and must fight down,” complained the FCI boss.
Shortly after the break had Offenbach’s Sascha basket a second yellow Seen card, still the outsider from Hesse remained after playing at eye level. Captain Marvin Matip was disappointed: “Offenbach wanted the win more, that’s a problem.”
