Max Verstappen is the youngest Formula 1 driver of all time

The Formula 1 team Toro Rosso has the Dutch teenager Max Verstappen (16) committed as regular drivers for the upcoming season and thus provides an age record in the premier class. The son of the former Grand Prix driver Jos Verstappen will be the youngest Formula 1 driver in history on his debut for the sister team of Red Bull Sebastian Vettel’s team with more then 17 years. He would thus be two years younger than the previous record holder Jaime Alguersuari of Spain, at the age of 19 years went to the route in 2009, also for Toro Rosso.

Red Bull motorsport consultant Helmut Marko confirmed the Personnel on Monday night in the show “Sports and Talk of the Hangar-7″. “Every top team has the extraordinary talent recognized by him,” said the 71-year-old. “The quality and success” Toro Rosso would ultimately tipped the Verstappens decision. “He’s one of the very few drivers in the last 15 years, who has managed the transition from go-karting to Formula 3,” Marko said: “He does not need more experience in other junior classes.”

Verstappen, karting world champion last year, is one of the most talented young drivers, 2015 he is forming a duo with only 20 years old Russians Daniil Kwjat. Jean-Eric Vergne (France) loses his place in the team, however.

It was not until this year goes Verstappen in the European Formula 3 Championship and is there with eight wins currently second overall. “It’s an incredible feeling,” Verstappen said: “I am very happy I was permitted to reveal anything now it is finally out I had the best feeling in the Junior range from the Red Bull team….”

Before running the season had the Australian Daniel Ricciardo made the leap from Toro Rosso to Vettel’s Red Bull team, so far caused the 25-year-old with two wins this season for the bright spots in the ailing world champion racing team.
