Rome / Hamburg. Germany 2024 gets first competition from Europe in the bid to host the Summer Olympics. Italy announced Monday his candidacy with the capital Rome for the games in ten years known. This was announced by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at an event at the National Olympic Committee of Italy (CONI) in Rome. “We do not want to be there, but to win,” Renzi said. “The Italian government is willing to do their part,” added the 39-year-old.
