Wolfram Wuttke died of multiple organ failure at the age of 53. He spent his last hours in a Lünener hospital where he was admitted after liver cirrhosis.

Wuttke, here in the jersey of Hamburger SV, playing for four other Bundesliga club Schalke 04, Borussia Mönchengladbach, 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 1 . FC Saarbrücken. In the Bundesliga, the offensive player completed 299 games and scored 66 goals. Legendary were his passes with his head.
