Wrong decision helps Wolfsburg to victory – Berliner Morgenpost

Wolfsburg. Benefiting from a crass misjudgment by referee Manuel Grafe has the VfL Wolfsburg Bayer Leverkusen 2: defeated: 1 (1: 1). The runners had gone through an irregular goal, Nicklas Bendtner (34 minutes) in the lead. The winning goal in front of 28,766 spectators the recently procured substitute Julian Draxler (77). For Leverkusen Javier Hernandez (40th) had the 1: 1 achieved.

In Bendtners second goal of the season was master encoder Vieirinha clearly offside. Grafe evaluated the previous pass by André Schürrle incorrectly as a ball contact of Bayers Kevin Kampl and even overruled his linesman, who had raised the flag. “This is a huge injustice. I did not understand why he risked his linesman overrule” said Völler.

Even after the change of the game remained emotionally charged. Both sides tried to achieve profit from a possible uncertainty of the referee team. Here, the referee was again in a key scene wrong, as he overlooked a tackle from Leno to Caligiuri and thus Wolfsburg refused a penalty (51).
