FIFA functionary Figueredo admits corruption in South American football – t-online.de

The former FIFA vice-president Eugenio Figueredo has admitted the existence of an extensive network of corruption in South American football. After his extradition on Christmas Eve from Switzerland a judge ruled in his native Uruguay, he is taken to the central prison of the capital Montevideo for corruption and money laundering, as prosecutor Juan Gómez told.

Figueredo had acknowledged that he had received “large sums of money,” said Gómez – it is to concern million amounts. This he then invested elsewhere.
