2. Bundesliga: FC Ingolstadt and 1. FC Nürnberg separate draw – SPIEGEL ONLINE

The FC Ingolstadt is about to awaited promotion to the 1. Bundesliga. By using 1: 1 (0: 0) in the derby against 1. FC Nürnberg on Monday night held the Upper Bavaria their seven-point advantage over the relegation place. Next weekend they could make perfect the rise in the third-last season game with an away victory over VfL Bochum.

15,000 spectators in the total only the third time sold Ingolstadt Arena, the hurried away league leaders did, however, surprisingly hard against aggressive occurring Nuremberg. An own goal by Javier Pinola (70 minutes) seemed the FCI still to help the 17th win of the season, before Danny Blum (72) of post equalized for the FCN. The lost in the second division midfielder francs laid after a disappointing season all their energy into the game and were rewarded with a counter.

Historical Points earnings

Historic proportions but only had the point won the FCI: Previously, it was in seven second league duels still no Ingolstadt team succeeded in bringing to Nuremberg anything.

Without injured captain Marvin Matip the hosts looked vulnerable at the back and were lucky that FCN professional Alessandro Schöpf 24 minutes hit the post in a free kick. Also Niklas Stark (10) and Jakub Sylvestr (18) were twice close to the guided tour, missed their targets but just under.

The pros of even second division held in a frantic game of committed against, but lacked punch. So two long-range shots of Pascal Groß (19) and Stefan Lex (43) were initially the only good options. The so far biggest opportunity forgave Alfredo Morales (53), but missed the far post from two meters per head. With increasing playing time the attack attempts of the hosts were always stubborn. But only Nuremberg Pinola hit into the goal – after a corner unchallenged into their own. Shortly after the defender was as Crosser pioneer of balance.
